I need to uninstall LapLink, PCsync or PDAsync. How can I be sure that the software is completely removed?

Solution
Attention! If you have Laplink Everywhere installed, you must
reinstall it after performing these steps.
For LapLink
IMPORTANT: If you need to uninstall LapLink Gold 11 on a computer running Windows
XP, see
Technical Document 690: Uninstalling LapLink
Gold 11 in Windows XP before proceeding.
- From the
Windows Start menu, go to
Programs, and point to
LapLink (Version).
- Click
Uninstall.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and
Reboot when the uninstaller has finished.

-- NOTE: If the above uninstall fails, just continue with the remaining steps in
this article.
- Double-click on
My Computer, double-click on the
(C:) drive, double-click on the
Program Files folder, and then
right-click on the
Laplink Gold folder and
Delete it.
- From the
Windows Start menu, go to
Find or Search, and click
Files or Folders.
- In the Named field, type
TSI*.*
- Make sure the
drive with your program files (normally the C:\ drive) is in the
Look In field.
- Click on the
Search Now or Find Now button. It will take a few moments to search
the hard drive for all files that start with TSI.
- In the Search results window,
Delete the TSI32 folder .
- For each of the remaining files,
Right-click on it and choose
Properties.
- Click on the Version tab (if there is one). - If there is no Version tab, then skip the file. -
If the
Company value contains
Traveling Software or
LapLink, click
OK and then
delete the file, otherwise, skip the file. - If you are unable to
delete a file that is due to be deleted, note the file name and try it again after you have
completed the “To clean your Windows registry” section below and rebooted the computer. If you are
still unable to delete the file, contact
Laplink Technical Support
To clean your Windows registry
- From the
Window Start menu, click
Run, type
REGEDIT and click
OK.

Note: Before making the following changes, make a backup of your registry. See

Technical Document 670: How to Create a Windows
XP Restore Point.
- In the left pane, click
My Computer.
- From the
Edit menu, click
Find.
- In the
Find what field, type
LAPLINK and press
Enter.

Note: The
Keys,
Values and
Data box must be checked and the
Match whole string only box must be cleared.
- The Registry is searched for the word LAPLINK. When the search stops and highlights a result,
press
Delete, click
Yes to confirm the deletion, and then press
F3 to find the next entry.

NOTE: If you receive an error attempting to delete a registry key, see

- Repeat step 5 until the search reaches the end of the Registry.
- Repeat steps 2 through 6 using the word TRAVELING.
- Close the Registry Editor and reboot your computer.
For PCsync
- From the
Windows Start menu, go to
Programs, and point to
PCsync.
- Click
Uninstall.
- Follow the screens and click
Reboot when the Uninstaller has finished.
To clean your Windows registry
- From the
Window Start menu, click
Run, type
REGEDIT and click
OK.
